News from the Session

• At recent meetings, the Session heard good reports from both the Nominating, and the Finance and Stewardship Committees. The 2009 budget was approved, having hit its benchmarks for overall reductions in its endowment income dependence.
• A congregational meeting is being organized to provide information and feedback, related to our budget process. The date is to be determined.
• It was decided to avoid scheduling committee meetings after worship on the first Sunday of the month. It was felt that this time should be spent as part of Sabbath rest or for programs of spiritual growth and nurture.
• A new group of members and friends was received in December, bringing the total for new membership in 2008 to 44 members and 10 friends
