News from
Pittsburgh: "Bedtime Stories"
Rev. R. Bush Presented at East Liberty Presbyterian
Church, Pittsburgh, PA
Sunday, June 29, 2008
This "News from Pittsburgh" story-sermon
(done in homage to Garrison Keillor's famous "News from Lake Wobegon")
is the latest in an annual series presented by Rev. Dr. Randy
Bush for the congregation of East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
A biblical idea is fleshed out through a narrative sermon involving
whimsy, humor and memorable imagery. This particular sermon, entitled
"Bedtime Stories," considers the stories adults pass on to children
and ponders how these narratives teach the lessons of an abiding,
loving Christian faith.
