Are you helping an older loved one with tasks like grocery shopping, managing medications, bathing/dressing or getting around? If so, you are a family caregiver! Care coaches from the United Way’s Caregivers First Initiative will offer a guide to finding community resources, getting started with problem-solving, and managing the stress of trying to help a loved one. Forum on Problems in Sudan and South Sudan

The ELPC Peace Committee is hosting Famine, Political Breakdown and the Trump Travel Ban, a forum on the problems occurring in Sudan and South Sudan. The panel includes Congressman Mike Doyle, Rubani Trimiew, Hawa Abdallah Salih, and others. A light lunch will be provided by members of the Sudanese Community in Pittsburgh. The Chapel Market, which provides gently worn, donated clothing to those who need it for free, is open for shopping and donating on Mondays, from 10 am–2 pm, and Thursdays, from 6–8 pm. The Market is located in the Wayfarer's Chapel on the ground floor at  ELPC, by the Whitfield Street entrance. Do you need support with practical ways of dealing with pain, fatigue, nutrition, exercise, and other issues? If so, the ELPC Membership and Outreach Committee is offering a new Better Choices, Better Health workshop on Tuesdays, May 2–June 6, from 10:30 am–12 pm. The six-week workshop is free and open to the general public—including adults with a chronic health condition.
