The labyrinth is an ancient, sacred symbol found in many religious traditions throughout the world. Today, modern pilgrims walk the labyrinth as one of many ways to pray and meditate. Drawn from the ancient Christian contemplative tradition, centering prayer is presented in an updated, accessible four-step method. The Centering Prayer group aims to sit in silence for 20 minutes of prayer, and supports its members in their ongoing practice of this transforming way of being with God. Centering Prayer is a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. This method of prayer is a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion with Christ.
