Amidst the gray and darkness of winter, we pause to reflect upon our lives as children of God. This can involve both lighting a candle of hope and offering up prayers of repentance. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the special season of Lent—an important time for thoughtfulness and personal reflection. Taizé Prayer Service

All are welcome to attend a special Taizé prayer service with the imposition of ashes, as we mark the beginning of Lent together. ELPC offers evening prayers with chants from Taizé every Wednesday at 7 pm, in the Chapel. The hour-long service includes sung prayers, beautiful music, a time of silence, spoken and silent prayers, and opportunities for individual prayer and anointing.
