Suzuki Music Program – Violin, Cello, Guitar and Piano

I want to make good citizens. If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart. —Shin’ichi Suzuki

Suzuki GirlsHope Academy’s Suzuki program gives beginning students the opportunity to build a solid foundation for their music training through the Suzuki principles of an early beginning, listening, loving encouragement, parental support, constant repetition, and learning with other children. The program consists of a weekly private lesson and a weekly group class, under the direction of Kathleen Andrews and Liza Barley (violin), Beth Goldstein-McKee (cello) and Gil Texeira (guitar). Patricia Pavlack directs the Suzuki piano program which does not have a weekly group class component.

An informational session, presented by the Suzuki Association of Pittsburgh, will be held at East Liberty Presbyterian Church on SAT September 3 at 1 pm.  Please use this online form to RSVP for the Suzuki Information Session.
