  • Journey with Scripture
  • Journey with Scripture: Jer. 8:18–9:1; Ps. 79:1–9; I Tim. 2:1–7; Luke 16:1–13. Second floor library.
  • Parenting Circle: “Involving Children in Worship and the Life of the Church: Fellowship/Outreach,” led by Pam Ferrante. First floor, Harambe room.
  • Seekers: “Eco-Justice and Environmental Ministries,” led by Rev. Barbara McFarland. Second floor, room 234.
  • Soul Food: We continue our study of Joyce Rupp’s book Fresh Bread. Second floor, Pastor’s conference room.

Additional worship and prayer opportunities during the week

  • Taizé prayer service: Every Wednesday, 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Worship at ELPCSeptember 15 service followed at 8:15 with “Sacred Harp, Shape Note Singing,” led by Charles Anderson.
  • Labyrinth prayer walk: Wednesday, September 15, 9:00 am - 9:00 pm; Monday, September 20, 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. In the Social Hall.
  • Centering prayer: Tuesday, September 21, 7:00 pm. Room 250.

Church picnicChurch picnic, September 19
All are invited to attend our church picnic in the courtyard after the 11:00 service. Covered seating is available in room 51. The Christian Education ministry team will provide fried chicken, hot dogs, and Italian ice! Please bring a cold side dish to share.

ToysDonations for Toymakers
ELPC’s Toymakers’ group is making beanbags, and needs donations of Styrofoam shipping peanuts. Please put them to good use by bringing them to the church office, labeled “Toymakers.” Thank you!

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. September’s “Food of the Month” is jelly / jam.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of September, the Deacons are collecting XL men’s underwear, tee-shirts, and deodorant for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
