Thanksgiving bags available, October 31 and November 7
The Christian Education Ministry Thanksgiving bagsTeam will pass out grocery bags and lists during the worship services on Sundays, Oct 31 and Nov 7. Prayerfully consider taking a bag and returning it on Stewardship Sunday, Nov 14. During the 11 am service, we will bring these bags forward as a special offering, and dedicate them to God’s use. They will be donated to the EECM Food Pantry and given to needy families in the East End.

Young adults, Wednesday, October 27, 8pm: “Biblical Justice”
What does the Bible say about justice issues? Wrestle with current issues, such as American and church policy, and building mosques using a biblical justice lens. Pastor’s Conference Room.


 

ELPC in the Community

Pancake breakfastPancake breakfast, Saturday November 7, benefits EECM
Each year the Pittsburgh East Rotary Club sponsors a Pancake Breakfast benefiting charities in the East End including EECM. The breakfast will be held Saturday, November 6 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 8am - 12pm.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. October’s “Food of the Month” is pasta sauce.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Coat Drive, through November 5
EECM coat driveEECM will once again be accepting donations of new and very gently used coats for distribution to our clients this fall.Last year’s coat drive was a huge success, and we were able to provide warm winter coats to hundreds of clients throughout our Hunger, Homeless, and Children and Youth programs. Coats in all sizes are welcome, but we do have a particular need for men's coats in sizes large and extra large. Coats may be dropped off in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support! East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of October, the Deacons continue to collect XL men’s underwear, tee-shirts, and deodorant for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
