Highlight
New Year’s Taizé service, December 29, 7pm
Join us for a special Taizé service tonight to celebrate the New Year! Welcome in the New Year with songs, meditations, prayer, and faithful hope. After the service, please stay for a special “Celebrations” fellowship time.
- Contemporaries, Journey with Scripture, Parenting Circle, Seekers, and Soul Food will not meet on January 2. Join us January 9 for our Winter Rally Day. Regular classes resume January 16.
Additional worship and prayer opportunities during the week
Taizé prayer service: Every Wednesday, 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Join us this evening for our special New Year service followed by a time of hospitality. Childcare available from 6:45 to 8:15.
- Labyrinth prayer walk: Wednesday, December 29, 9:00 am - 9:00 pm. No labyrinth on Monday, 3; the church will be closed.
- Centering Prayer: Tuesday, January 4, 7:00 pm. Room 250

Chenoa Stock to be commissioned January 2 during worship
ELPC member Chenoa Stock, who will be serving in Bolivia as a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) mission co-worker, will be commissioned during the 11:00 service on January 2. With the Joining Hands group in Bolivia, she will focus on water and environmental issues as industrialization negatively affects local communities and families.
Presbyterian Women Bible Study, January 4, 10 am
Start the New Year off with bible study and fellowship: Join PW as we study Revelation 7-8:5. A potluck lunch follows; bring a salad or snack to share and your own place setting. Beverages and soup will be provided. Call Diane Jackson for more info (412) 441-6021.
Winter Rally Day, January 9
Join us at 9:30 on on Sunday January 9, and explore Jesus’ baptism through experiential, interactive learning stations. Our experiences will flow over into our 11 am worship service. We will gather in the Social Hall for a potluck breakfast at 9:30 am. Please bring a breakfast bread to share. Read more

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. January’s “Food of the Month” is peanut butter.
East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of December, the Deacons continue to collect bar soap and razors for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
