Saturday, March 26: Spring Music Festival, 7 pmHope Academy Spring Music Festival, March 26, 7 pm
Join us on Saturday, March 26 as we celebrate our young musicians, singers, dancers and actors during a day-long marathon of free events! Shakespeare students perform at 10 am, student music recitals are from Noon to 6 pm, and the Wednesday Voices of Hope singing groups and EL CEO perform at 7 pm. All events are free and take place at ELPC.

As part of ELPC’s continued commitment to the arts, we are very pleased to exhibit prints by contemporary Chinese artist He Qi. Dr. Qi’s art is displayed in Room 234 and the 2nd Floor Parlor. In his works, He Qi has blended together Chinese folk customs and traditional Chinese painting techniques with the western art of the Middle and Modern Ages, and has created a contemporary, artistic style of color-on-paper painting.

Lenten crossesLenten crosses in our worship spaces
In the Sanctuary, third floor Music Room, chapel, and ground floor dining room worships spaces, you’ll find special Lenten crosses, with cards that ask us, “Who do you say that I am?” You’re invited to write your own personal answer to this question that Christ asked, then tape the strip of paper onto the cross. Sponsored by the Spiritual Life Committee.

LentLenten devotional materials for families, adults, teens, and children are available. These materials are provided courtesy of the Christian Education committee so that persons of all ages can deepen their faith throughout the Lenten season.

“Have a Heart for Hunger” bags return March 27
Join in the fight against hunger by participating in ELPC’s efforts to support EECM’s “Have a Heart for Hunger” Campaign. Return your bag with the requested items to a worship service on March 27. Or, make a financial contribution: donations made between February 13 and March 31 will have a matching donation made up to $30,000.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. March’s “Food of the Month” is instant mashed potatoes.
