Artist He Qi paintings and talks at ELPC
ELPC is very pleased to welcome contemporary Chinese artist He Qi, whose art is on display in Room 234 and the 2nd Floor Parlor. Dr. Qi will also be doing three artist presentations on his work: Wed, April 27; 8:15-7:00 pm; Fri, April 29, 7:00-9:00pm; Sun, May 1, 12:15 to 1:30 pm. Holy Week and Easter worship services and schedule
The season of Lent is designed to help prepare us for the good news of Jesus' resurrection on Easter morning. Holy Week, the week preceding Easter Sunday, is a critical final chapter in this story of our Christian faith. ELPC will be offering several prayer and worship experiences during Holy Week, and a special Easter morning worship schedule. Read more
Order lilies or donate to EECM for Easter, due Sunday
Help brighten the Sanctuary for Easter morning and remember someone special! Order a 6-1/2" pot of lilies, or make a monetary donation to the EECM Food Pantry. The names of those honored and memorialized will be printed in a special bulletin insert. Orders due April 17. View the order form
One Great Hour of Sharing: April 17, 24
Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing. Our gifts support disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development. Offerings collected April 17 & 24.
ELPC Spring Blood Drive, April 17
ELPC’s Health Ministry is sponsoring a blood drive Sunday April 17, 8-11am and 12-2pm. Blood donors are the only source for patients in need of blood and blood products. Each blood donation can save up to three lives! Help give the gift of life to someone in need. Call Kate Carlson (412) 441-3800 x16, to schedule a time. You can also have your blood pressure checked.
Strategic Vision: Last Study Circle meeting, April 14, 6:30
Over the past year, ELPC has been engaged in a strategic visioning process. The next step is to hear from church members about the steps forward God is leading our church to consider. Join us for this last Strategic Vision study circle and add your voice to this important conversation. In the Second Floor parlor.
Mother’s Day Cards
This year, honor your mother or other significant woman in your life with a specially-designed Mother’s Day card to support Healthy Women Healthy Families, a program of the PC(USA)’s International Health and Development office. These cards are available for a requested donation of $10 following 11 A.M. worship on Palm Sunday (April 17), during the fellowship time between services on Easter Sunday (April 24), after the 11:00 worship on May 1, or from Kate Carlson in the church office during the week.
