Come be a landscape volunteer! We are looking for help on Saturday, October 29, from 9 am to 12 noon. The Landscape Team asks for your help to come get the church grounds ready for winter, including fall cleanup and tulip planting. Everyone is welcome! Questions? Chuck Lukehart, (412) 782-6447.

Who are our neighbors?
A new and exciting partnership has formed between The Open Door and ELPC to explore possibilities and issues related to Latino ministry. Our next meeting on Oct 24 at 6:30 pm at ELPC will cover the topic “Our response as Christians: From Idealism to Practice.” See the complete schedule. Food will be provided. Crafts Donations!Crafts Donations!
The Worship, Music and Arts Committee is collecting clear 2-liter soda bottles to make decorations for the Christmas season. Please wash your empty bottles with soap, let them air dry (no lids) and drop them off in the church office. Colorful, new or lightly used pillowcases are needed for a sewing project for Haiti. Please drop them off in the church office. If you would like to help transform them into little dresses, please contact Diane Jackson (412) 441-6021.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. October’s “Food of the Month” is rice.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of October, the Deacons are continuing to collect deodorant, shampoo, and men’s socks for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
