SpotlightCelebration of Our Missionaries Among Us

Join us on Sunday October 30 after the 11:00 worship service for a “Celebration of the Missionaries Among Us.” Mission initiative reps will help us understand what it means to “go out” and respond to the call of Jesus as a missionary. Part of our celebration will be the game of uncovering 10 Mystery Missionaries from our own congregation! ELPC Social Hall. Light refreshments served.

Easy to read New Revised Standard Version Large-Print Bibles are being ordered. Purchase new Sanctuary pew biblesIn the past, many parishioners have chosen to purchase a NRSV Bible in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. We are offering another opportunity for you to purchase a new Bible to be added to the pew racks. The Worship, Music and Arts Committee is helping to underwrite the costs to make it easier for more people to participate. View the form for details

ELPC is collecting new and gently used coats in all sizes, for EECM’s Winter Coat Drive. EECM distributes these coats to those in need. View the flyer for details

Fresh air, camaraderie... and a rake
Come work with the landscaping teamCome be a landscape volunteer! We are looking for help on Saturday, October 29, from 9 am to 12 noon. East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. October’s “Food of the Month” is rice.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of October, the Deacons are continuing to collect deodorant, shampoo, and men’s socks for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
