Christmas Eve servicesChristmas Eve Worship Services, December 24
with celebration of the Lord’s supper at both services

Join us for a Friends and Family Service on December 24 at 5:00 pm, in the Sanctuary. This early service is a time of familiar carols and a re-telling of the Christmas story, for people of all ages and families of all types. Come share in this time of Christmas cheer and good news!

We will also offer a Candlelight Communion Service on December 24 at 11:00 pm, in the Sanctuary. Special prelude music begins at 10:30 pm. Within the hush of evening, gather for a time of wonder, beauty, and joy as the birth of Christ is celebrated just prior to the dawn of Christmas Day.

Mark your calendar: Winter Rally Day, January 8, 2012

This inter-generational event is held in lieu of our usual Christian Education hour and and offers everyone a chance to gather together again after the holidays. In this season of new beginnings, it is fitting that we will explore new beginnings in our Lectionary Texts for the January 8, 2012 Sunday: God's creation of the universe, and Jesus' baptism in Mark's Gospel (Genesis 1:1-5 and Mark 1:4-11). Church holiday closures

Church holiday closures The church building will close after services on Christmas Sunday, December 25 and will reopen on Wednesday, December 28. The church will close again after services on New Year's Sunday January 1, and will reopen on Tuesday morning, January 3. See the church calendar for details

Food pantryEast End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. December’s “Food of the Month” is Dried Beans.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of December, the Deacons continue to collect men’s hats, gloves, scarves, and underwear (sizes L, XL, and XXL) for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
