Club 116 and Bible 116 resumes this week
- Club 116 resumes Wednesday, January 11 as we continue our exploration of God’s story as it relates to the stories of our lives by learning about the life and ministry of Jesus in the Gospels. Club 116 encourages families and individuals of all ages to come together for fun, community, learning, and worship. Read more
- Bible 116 resumes on Mondays at noon (from 12pm to 1pm). Join Revs. Bush and Schoenewolf who will alternately lead this lunchtime informal bible study class. All are welcome! Meets in the second floor parlor. Read more
“Many Hands,” at Kelly Strayhorn with Hope Academy performances
On Monday January 16, at 2 PM, enjoy free performances several groups at the Kelly Strayhorn theater. Hope Academy’s HAT Co band--Bethan Neely, Annajane Lowe, Zoe Zielinski, Sam Gardner, Jonathan Lee, Candace Burgess, Allie Brown, Jewel Strothers and Larry White--will close the show. Read more

Martin Luther King Celebration, January 15
Join us for the 28th annual Martin Luther King Celebration and Kelso Lecture in honor of Dr. King on Sunday, Jan 15! We will gather at 3:30 pm in the Leebov Sanctuary of Temple Sinai (5505 Forbes Ave) where we will join in song with an interfaith choir, in readings from assorted scriptures and in learning from keynote speaker,
Dr. John Jackson of the Schott Foundation for Public Education of Cambridge, MA. Fellowship with refreshments and discussion will follow. Donations of canned goods for the EECM Food Pantry are welcome. For more info, please call (412) 361-5549.
East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. January’s “Food of the Month” is Rice-A-Roni.

During the month of January, the Deacons continue to collect men’s hats, gloves, scarves, and underwear (sizes L, XL, and XXL) for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support! |
