News and events

Grief support groupGrief support group begins this week: Thursday, March 15

ELPC members Ted Cmarada and Susan Spangler, experienced psychotherapists and grief counselors, will lead a grief support group for those in our community who are grieving or struggling with loss and change. The free group begins this week, Thursday, March 15, and will continue for six weeks on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 pm. The emotional challenges that accompany loss can be experienced as sudden and profound, or they can arise subtly over time as persistent sadness, mood swings, difficulty with day-today functioning, or distress in personal relationships. These are aspects of grieving, which also can be related to separation, divorce, or major life change. Grief is a process that, when met with compassion and care by self and others, can flow into a renewed and deepened engagement with life. Second Floor parlor.
