Serving God’s people in need is one the most basic callings of the Christian life. The Mission Ministries at East Liberty Presbyterian Church are dedicated to and involved in Christian ministry to the local and global communities. With a commitment to social justice, mercy, peacemaking, understanding and acceptance, ELPC’s Mission Ministries provide support through volunteers, cultural exchanges, financial gifts, and in-kind resources for the basic human needs of food, shelter, clothing, and intervention.

To help carry out this challenging mission of serving God’s people are the Mission Ministries' three committees and five taskforces, each with a specific ministry focus. Sub-committees may also be formed to help coordinate special projects and events.

  • Justice & Global Concerns
      Africa Taskforce
      Environmental Taskforce
      Full Inclusion Taskforce
      Poverty Taskforce
      Women and Children’s Taskforce
While the director of the Mission Ministries oversees day-to-day operations, the committees are made up of dedicated members of the congregation who volunteer their time and energy. The committees also encourage other members of the congregation to become involved in and support these ministries.
