SUMMARY:No Food for Thought: Mentoring
DESCRIPTION:Food 4 Thought will not meet during Holy Week on Thursday\, April 18. Our regular schedule resumes on Thursday\, April 25. \n\nFood 4 Thought is a one-on-one mentoring program for students in grades 6–8\, which meets on Thursdays\, 4:30–6:30 pm. This learning support and enrichment program reinforces skills that are known to be necessary for success in and out of school through sharing meals\, cooking together\, doing homework\, and enjoying a variety of fun activities. Pre-registration is required. \nTogether\, mentors and mentees will: \n\nShare healthy and delicious meals.\nTake cooking classes with professional chefs.\nParticipate in creating real solutions for hunger\, health\, and sustainable agriculture.\nLearn about the food we eat.\nInvestigate how different cultures around the world eat\, extend hospitably and show gratitude.\nBuild meaningful relationships that support them during the joys and the struggles of life.\n\nClick here for more information.
