DESCRIPTION:Thomas Merton was an American Catholic writer and mystic. A Trappist monk\, he was a poet\, social activist\, and pioneer of Interfaith Dialogue. Merton wrote more than 70 books\, mostly on spirituality\, social justice and a quiet pacifism\, as well as scores of essays and reviews. He also left behind his voluminous journals. He has been an inspiration to millions. \nAbout Bonnie Thurston\nAfter years as a university and seminary professor\, Bonnie Thurston lives quietly in her home state of West Virginia. She wrote her doctoral dissertation on Thomas Merton\, helped found and has served as the president of the International Thomas Merton society\, has published widely on Merton. Her work on Merton has been translated into Dutch\, German\, Italian\, and Spanish.

DESCRIPTION:All ELPC Friends and Members who want to learn how to better support LGBTQ Christians are invited to this three-part learning and discussion series.
