DESCRIPTION:Because what we believe has everything to do with how we pray\, the Spiritual Life Committee (SLC) welcomes you to the next gathering of our Heretics\, Doubters and Other Saints group. \nDo you secretly think that if everyone actually knew what you believe—and what you do NOT believe—that you would not be welcome in church? Do you have some deep seated doubts about certain parts of the Christian story? Do you have to cross your fingers when you recite parts of the Apostle’s Creed? Well\, you may feel like you are alone; but\, you are not. \nTennyson famously said it\, “There lives more faith in honest doubt\, than in half the creeds.” And it is in that spirit that the SLC presents this quarterly time to come together with others who have also been carrying around their secret doubts and questions\, to talk about the wide breadth of theology within the Presbyterian church\, and to explore how your personal faith might be more complete. \nWe will share a light lunch and ask questions together. Remember\, there are no right or wrong thoughts here.
