DESCRIPTION:There will be no Church School classes this Sunday so that we all can enjoy our youth’s Christmas pageant\, The Pageant of “Why?” Classes will resume for people of all ages next Sunday\, December 22. \n\nThe ELPC Christian Education (CE) Committee offers Church School classes and events for all ages—from infants to adults. CE is the life-long process of learning and living in relationship to God\, our neighbors\, and ourselves. Church School classes on Sundays\, 9:45–10:45 am\, from early September through early June\, unless otherwise noted. \nThrough the study of scripture and the practice of prayer\, we begin to understand our life experiences as they relate to the life\, death\, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. DESCRIPTION:Our Centering Meditation group will not meet on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day\, Wednesday\, December 25 and January 1. Our next gathering will be Wednesday\, January 8. \n\nDrawn from the ancient Christian contemplative tradition\, centering prayer is presented in an updated\, accessible four-step method. The Centering Prayer group aims to sit in silence for 20 minutes of prayer\, and supports its members in their ongoing practice of this transforming way of being with God. Centering Prayer is a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. This method of prayer is a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion with Christ. Attendance every week is not required–you are welcome to join us anytime. The group meets every Thursday evening throughout the year. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Labyrinth will not be available on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day\, Wednesday\, December 25 and January 1. \n\nThe labyrinth is an ancient\, sacred symbol found in many religious traditions throughout the world. Today\, modern pilgrims walk the labyrinth as one of many ways to pray and meditate. The winding path into the center and back out again is a metaphor for the journeys of life and faith. Unlike a maze\, which has many paths and is a puzzle to solve\, the labyrinth is a single path in and a single path out\, and is designed to quiet the mind for prayer and meditation. Members and non-members welcome. \n\nThe Labyrinth is available on Mondays\, 7 am–1 pm\, and Wednesdays\, 9 am–9 pm.

The purpose was to reverse the polarity of the negative force field in the race of mind\, achieve a critical mass of spiritual consciousness\, and usher in a new era of Peace on Earth. \nWorld Healing Day is a global event in hundreds of cities worldwide to share a common vision of hope and healing. Join us in body or spirit on Tuesday\, December 31\, 6:45 am\, for meditation and a walk on the labyrinth in the Social Hall. Add your love and light to the healing of this world.
