DESCRIPTION:Our Monday evening Insight Meditation group invites both experienced meditators and novices for a time of retreat and renewal—as well as an introduction to meditation if you have not practiced before. The retreat will be in the Second Floor Parlor. \nAcross the breadth of our culture\, researchers are telling us the ways in which a meditation practice quiets our minds and brings us home to who we are\, who we are created to be. Join us! \nWear comfortable shoes and—if possible—bring a simple bagged lunch. DESCRIPTION:Please join us in the Social Hall after Sanctuary worship for food\, cookies\, laughs\, and maybe a few tears as we celebrate and thank Pam Kimmel for her nearly 24 years of service as ELPC’s Business Administrator. \nPam\, who is stepping down from the post (but will remain with the church and the Chancel Choir\, to be clear!)\, has been vital to the growth and outreach of ELPC and a humble\, knowledgeable and gracious leader whose calm and pleasant demeanor has been appreciated not only by staff but all who have worked and interacted with her. \nYou can help show your appreciation by contributing to the cookie table that will be set up in Pam’s honor. Please drop off cookies in the Social Hall before the 11 am service.

DESCRIPTION:Come one\, come all to this annual event where our ELPC family and community celebrate the many blessings in our lives with fellowship and a turkey luncheon with all the trimmings! \nConsider Volunteering\nWe need about 50 volunteers to ensure this event not only successfully feeds ELPC friends and members\, but also warmly welcomes members of our community. If you’re willing and able to help\, sign up in the hallway near the front desk to either set up (9:45–11:45 am) or clean up (1–3 pm). \nBring a side or Dessert\nYou also can sign up to bring side dishes and desserts. All dishes should be labeled with your name. There is no need to bring serving utensils. A signup sheet will be available on the bulletin board near the Highland Ave. entrance beginning on Sunday\, November 4.
