Imagine the despair and confusion of the two disciples walking to Emmaus three days after Jesus’ crucifixion. They had hoped that Jesus of Nazareth was the one to redeem Israel. Moreover\, that Sunday morning\, Mary Magdalene and the other women reported that Jesus had risen from the grave. \nAs the disciples walked to Emmaus\, a stranger joined them. The disciples did not recognize Jesus until they shared a meal with this stranger! Each week we will reflect on a chapter and a contemplative practice such as reimagining the Jesus Prayer\, walking attentively in creation\, gathering the graces\, and engaging the imagination. \nRev.
