DESCRIPTION:October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Thursday\, October 16\, 6–8 pm\, the Carnegie Museum of Art is sponsoring a lecture called\, Reflections of Healing: Domestic Violence Awareness Through Art. ELPC member\, Nicole Molinaro\, President/CEO of the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh will be presenting\, Creative Trauma-informed Care in Domestic Violence Healing and Awareness\, followed by the launch of Reflections of Healing\, a contemplative tour of artworks at The Carnegie Museum of Art with reflective prompts that share the cycle of domestic abuse while creating space for creative healing. \nThe Justice Committee encourages you to attend this event and learn more about the pervasive issue of abuse and how we can empower survivors by breaking the silence that often surrounds their experiences.
