DESCRIPTION:Being in the hospital\, either as a patient or a family member\, can be very stressful. Not only are we not at our best\, but we typically get information and advice from a wide variety of physicians\, nurses\, therapists\, and other clinical staff that can be confusing. While health care professionals are knowledgeable and have the benefit of specialized education\, patients and families often feel pressured to agree to plans without a full understanding of their options. \nJoin us as Nancy Magee reviews the rights that patients and family members have during their treatment\, and how best to advocate for themselves to direct their care in the way that is most comfortable for them.
