Lack of clean diapers can adversely affect a child’s health and socialization. \nPresbyterian Women will host a drive-by Diaper Drive on Sunday\, March 14\, 1:30–3 pm\, at the half-circle driveway on Highland Ave. Disposable diapers (especially sizes 5 and 6) and baby wipes are requested. All donations will support the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank. \nIf you prefer to make a monetary donation\, make checks payable to “PW in ELPC” and write “Diaper Drive” in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to the church. \nQuestions? Email PW.ELPC@gmail.com.

DESCRIPTION:Clean diapers are a basic need of every infant and toddler. Yet\, one in three families cannot afford enough diapers to keep their child clean\, dry\, and healthy. three in five parents miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in childcare. \nThe Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank\, wpadiaperbank.org\, has been helping families meet diaper needs for more than a decade. ELPC members and friends have generously supported this ministry for many years. \nPresbyterian Women will host a Diaper Drive at the Highland Ave. entrance following worship on Sunday\, July 30\, until 12:30 pm. Donations also may be dropped off in the laundry basket at the Highland Ave entrance. Diaper sizes 5 and 6 are most needed. Financial gifts also are welcomed. SUMMARY:PW Winter Retreat
DESCRIPTION:How do we live compassionately in a time of violence and despair? What can we do with our own disappointments and anger over an unjust world? Prophetic voices can help us live faithfully today. \nPresbyterian Women invites you to our Winter Retreat\, Responding Compassionately to a Hurting World\, Friday–Saturday\, March 6–7\, at Crestfied Camp and Conference Center in Slippery Rock. Rev. Sarah Robbins will lead us in a deep dive into the wisdom of prophets whose anger and lament was transformed into compassion as a mature response to evil. Through prayer\, discussion\, exercises and guided reflection\, we will practice ways to respond faithfully to an unjust world. Richard Rohr’s new book\, The Tears of Things\, provides guidance and a basis for our conversation. \nOur overnight retreat will begin with dinner on Friday\, 6 pm\, and conclude mid-afternoon on Saturday. We will make a joyful noise with singing and worship. We will renew ourselves through play and rest. \nRegistration is full at this time. \nDownload Brochure

SUMMARY:Presbyterian Women Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:It is said that Emmaus is where we go to escape. Imagine the despair and confusion of the two disciples walking to Emmaus three days after Jesus’ crucifixion. They had hoped that Jesus of Nazareth was the one to redeem Israel. Moreover\, that Sunday morning\, Mary Magdalene and the other women reported that Jesus had risen from the grave. \nAs the disciples walked to Emmaus\, a stranger joined them. The disciples did not recognize Jesus until they shared a meal with this stranger! The risen Christ may come to us in unfamiliar guises\, when we least expect him. \nJoin us for our lesson\, Finding Our Identity in Christ: When You Are Walking with Jesus – The Road to Emmaus\, on Monday\, May 4\, 7–8:30 pm (online only)\, or Tuesday\, May 12\, 10 am–12 pm (in-person only). Tuesday morning Bible Study will meet in-person only in the Fellowship Room\, and will be followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish to share; beverages will be provided. \nEmail PW.ELPC@gmail.com with any questions. Click here for more information about Presbyterian Women at ELPC. \nJoin via Zoom
