Qigong will return on Wednesday\, October 18\, 6:30 pm. \n\nQigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures\, breathing techniques and focused intention. The word Qigong (Chi Kung) is made up of two Chinese words. “Qi” is pronounced “chee” and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the universe. “Gong” is pronounced “gung” and means accomplishment\, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together\, Qigong (Chi Kung) means cultivating energy\, it is a contemplative system practiced for health maintenance\, healing and increasing vitality. \nLinda Harrington will lead half hour of Qigong on Thursdays\, 6:30 pm\, in the Prayer and Meditation Room before Mindfulness Meditation. Beginners are always welcome!

What are three things that you want your children and grandchildren to know when they leave the house? What is your experience with community policing? \nHow you answer these questions may say more than you think about your racial heritage and experience. Join us as we continue to explore racism as seen through the eyes of privilege. \nWe will share a potluck meal in the Social Hall at 5:30 pm. The program will run from 6–8 pm. DESCRIPTION:Come one\, come all to this annual event where our ELPC family and community celebrate the many blessings in our lives with fellowship and a turkey luncheon with all the trimmings! \nConsider Volunteering\nWe need about 50 volunteers to ensure this event not only successfully feeds ELPC friends and members\, but also warmly welcomes members of our community. If you’re willing and able to help\, sign up in the hallway near the front desk to either set up (9:45–11:45 am) or clean up (1–3 pm). \nBring a side or Dessert\nYou also can sign up to bring side dishes and desserts. All dishes should be labeled with your name. There is no need to bring serving utensils.
