A Food Waste Story (75 minutes)\, hosted by the Neighbors Committee. \nWe all love food. As a society\, we devour countless cooking shows\, culinary magazines and foodie blogs. So how could we be throwing nearly 50% of it in the trash? Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of waste from the farm\, through retail\, and all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America\, they quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. What they find is truly shocking.

SUMMARY:Summer Film Series: Making a Killing
DESCRIPTION:ELPC’s Mission Board invites you to attend the 2016 Summer Film Series. This week\, our film will be Making a Killing: Guns\, Greed\, and the NRA  (103 minutes)\, hosted by the Neighbors Committee. \nEvery day\, more than 80 Americans are shot and killed. This film documents how gun manufacturers are profiting from the violence sweeping America. It features the heart-breaking stories of those affected by gun violence and exposes how gun companies\, the NRA\, and their political beneficiaries block legislation that could prevent thousands of deaths and injuries\, in order to maintain billions of dollars in profits. The film is a rally cry for us to come together and push for common-sense gun regulation and a safer America.
