SUMMARY:Deadline for Hope Academy Scholarship Applications
DESCRIPTION:Today is the deadline for scholarship applications for courses and private lessons at Hope Academy of Music and the Arts.  \nMerit- and need-based scholarships are awarded in August for the entire school year. Completed applications received on or before August 15\, 2014 will be given priority. Those received after the deadline may be considered\, if scholarship funds are still available. We will accept applications throughout the year to fill openings created by non-returning students and/or the receipt of additional funding or special gifts. Preference is given to returning Hope Academy students\, and those who qualify as being low income and/or who represent a racial\, ethnic\, or cultural minority. \nDownload the 2014-2015 Course Brochure for details about our courses and private lessons and then use one of the online scholarship application forms to submit your information electronically. \nThere are two scholarship application forms: \n\nGeneral Scholarship Application 2014-2015 – for theater\, music and dance courses\nDiscover the Talent Scholarship Application 2014-2015 – for private music instruction (voice and instrumental)\n\n

SUMMARY:Deadline for HAT Co Applications
DESCRIPTION:Make sure you’ve completed the online HAT Co Application for HAT Co\, HAT Co Jr and HAT Co Rock Band\, so that we can schedule your audition on Saturday\, September 6.  \nDownload HAT Co’s Calendar and Schedule for the year\, to see if you will be able to make the necessary commitment. Then complete the online HAT Co Application\, and we’ll get back to you with more information. \nABOUT HAT Co: \nThis audition-only company provides a more intensive\, ensemble- and performance-based experience for students in grades 6 through 12 who are interested in the performing arts. HAT Co members are encouraged to make their own work\, as they learn to think about and respect dance\, theater and music as art forms — and themselves as artists and creators. \nSelected students receive individual\, class and ensemble training in acting\, dance\, vocal and instrumental music. Classes and ensembles meet all day on Saturday (tap\, vocal ensemble\, rock band\, theater ensemble\, extra coaching sessions) and Thursdays after school (ukulele and core dance); private voice and instrument lessons take place after school\, during the week. \nHAT Co Jr is a new program for 6th and 7th grade students; and HAT Co Rock Band offers musicians who are proficient in their instrument the opportunity to play in the band without having to participate in the theater and dance ensembles. \nStudents are required to make a yearlong commitment and sign a contract indicating their ability and willingness to attend all scheduled classes\, private lessons\, rehearsals and performances.
