Music February continues with Essence of Joy, Feb 12

Essence of Joy from the Pennsylvania State University Essence of Joy from the Pennsylvania State Universitywill return to ELPC as our guests in worship on Sunday, Feb 12. Essence of Joy, conducted by Dr. Tony Leach, was organized in 1991 to perform sacred and secular music from the African/African-American traditions. Invite a friend to join you for worship to hear these talented young singers as they lead us in worship.

Presbyterian Women Bible Study, February 7  Presbyterian Women Bible Study, February 7

The PW Bible Study group meets on the first Tuesday of the month from September 2011 through May 2012 (including November). We begin at 10:00 am, in the second floor parlor. Annual Congregational Meeting, February 19Annual Congregational Meeting, February 19

ELPC members, please mark your calendars and plan to attend our annual church congregational meeting after the 11:00 service on Sunday, February 19. A simple lunch will be provided, followed by an opportunity to review our ministry areas and committee work from the past year. In addition, the gathered body will be presented with a slate of candidates for Elder, Deacon, Centennial Fund, and Nominating Committee, which they also will be asked to consider and vote upon.

Food pantryEast End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Food Pantry
The EECM Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families facing hunger in Pittsburgh. February’s “Food of the Month” is Tuna.

East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) Men’s Shelter
During the month of February, the Deacons continue to collect men’s hats, gloves, scarves, and underwear (sizes L, XL, and XXL) for EECM’s Men’s Shelter. Donations may be left in the hallway baskets. Thank you for your support!
