SUMMARY:Sanctuary Worship
DESCRIPTION:No service due to the Pittsburgh Marathon. Our regular worship schedule returns next Sunday\, May 10. \nThis service is held in the sanctuary on the first floor\, with an organ prelude before the service. We extend a warm welcome our Latino friends and include several prayers in our service bulletin in English and Spanish. This is ELPC’s largest service\, offering a traditional worship service with thought-provoking sermons\, and the music of our Chancel Choir and organ to reinforce the spirit of praise and reverence. Like many of the great cathedrals of Europe\, the compelling power and beauty of our historic\, gothic-style Sanctuary enhances the spiritual experience. Children are invited to the chancel steps to hear their own message with one of the pastors. The service is led by ELPC’s senior pastor or other members of the pastoral staff. Special guest pastors or speakers periodically lead the service. \nSEE DETAILS FOR THIS WEEK’S WORSHIP services HERE.

SUMMARY:Vive le Franck!
DESCRIPTION:Piano and Organ Music of César Franck \nEdward Alan Moore\, organ \nNathan Carterette\, piano \nThe program will include two of the Belgian-born French composer’s largest works: the Grande Pièce Symphonique for organ and the Prélude\, Chorale\, and Fugue for piano.  Also included on the program will be the Prélude\, Fugue\, and Variation for organ and piano. \n \n  \n  \n  \nThis rather unusual musical combination showed itself to be one of exceptional artistic quality and surprisingly precise ensemble. \nBoth musicians\, virtuosi of their instruments\, clearly took the requisite time to prepare their varied program carefully. \nClevelandClassical.com (March 2014)\nConcert at Stambaugh Auditorium – Youngstown\, OH
