Howard Thurman and Practices of Spirituality of Liberation
Rev. Dr. Asa Lee, president of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and professor of Theological Formation for Ministry, will explore the teachings and practices of Rev. Howard Thurman in his book, Jesus and the Disinherited. This pivotal text offers a working theology of liberation that went on to inspire Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the transformative work of civil rights in the 1960s.
