Journey Worship | Sunday, 8:45 am

Sanctuary Worship | Sunday, 11 am
Our largest service, with music from the Chancel Choir and an organ prelude prior to the service. Pastor Randy will preach from Joshua 5:9–12, and his sermon will be titled “Faith + Free Will.”
If you’re out of town and/or unable to join us for worship, follow us on Facebook and stream our service.
Taizé Prayer Service | Wednesday, 7 pm
Led by the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan, our hour-long Taizé service includes sung prayers; simple, beautiful music; a time of silence; spoken and silent prayers; and an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. If you’re unable to participate in person, join our live stream on your computer or mobile device.

Is Hospice Just Another Word for Dying?
Tony Richardson-Eckes, a hospice chaplain, will talk about the role of hospice in the 21st century. He will encourage us to think about incorporating the benefits of hospice into the care of our loved ones well before the very end.
Journey With Scripture | Second Floor Library
“Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven.”—Psalm 32:1
Happiness consists of a willingness to share in God’s joy in dispensing salvation through forgiveness. A joint partnership with risk and rewards! To let go of hurts, to accept oneself, to love the lost, even reckless. Come join us this Lent to reflect on unbounded forgiveness and joy embodied.
Join us for this week’s readings: Joshua 5:9–12; Psalm 32; 2 Corinthians 5:16–21; and Luke 15:1–3, 11b–32.

The Religious Factor in U.S. Foreign Policy Part 1 of 3
ELPC Elder Ron Stone will begin a three-part series examining the role religion plays in foreign policy. Our first topic will explore “Religion in Wars and the Growth of our Nation from its Origins to the 20th Century.”
From Pilgrim’s theology and Spanish ideology, religious ideas about God and society drove both conquests and native resistance. Catholic-Protestant conflicts drove conflicts with France and Spain, and religious passions fueled the civil war. Missionary zeal added the Philippines to the empire involved the U.S.A. in China, and the social gospel inspired reform attempts. See: Andrew Preston, Sword of the Spirit and Shield of Faith.
