Worship Services
Journey Worship | Sunday, 8:45 am
An interactive, energetic service for those seeking a fresh encounter with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our theme this month is Vitality. Pastor Patrice will preach.
Sanctuary Worship | Sunday, 11 am
Our largest service, with music from the Chancel Choir and an organ prelude prior to the service. As we celebrate our 200th anniversary, Pastor Randy will preach from Revelation 21:1–6, 22:20–21, and his sermon will be titled “ELPC: A People of Hope.”
The Sanctuary walls will ring with the sound of brass and timpani, and echo with the voices of our special Anniversary Choir. Join us for this wonderful time of celebration as ELPC welcomes past staff and friends, and gives thanks to the God who has led us safe thus far and whose grace leads us into the future. The “Hallelujah Chorus” will be sung for the postlude, followed by a reception held in the Social Hall.
If you’re out of town and/or unable to join us for worship, follow us on Facebook and stream our service.
Taizé Prayer Service | Wednesday, 7 pm
Led by the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan, our hour-long Taizé service includes sung prayers; simple, beautiful music; a time of silence; spoken and silent prayers; and an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. If you’re unable to participate in person, join our live stream on your computer or mobile device.

The Kingdom of God: Past, Present, Future | Part 1

Journey With Scripture | Second Floor Library
“…even though you have no faith in me personally, then believe in the things that I do. Then you may come to know and realize that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”—John 10:38
God provides grace for recognizing Jesus’ identity and the power of his resurrection. This is good news—a deep, abiding process of transformation and reconciliation. You have everything to gain! The Spirit is gentle, not reckless or careless. Join us for Easter readings on coming to know the joy of salvation.
Join us for this week’s readings: Acts 11:1–18; Psalm 148; Revelation 21:1–6; and John 13:31–35.
Seekers | Third Floor Music Room
Making Sense of Sin, Salvation, and the Cross
The Rev. Robert Chesnut served as ELPC’s pastor from 1988–2002, and was the founder of our Seekers class. Today, he is back with us to address two questions. Can a modern, progressive Christian accept the doctrine of original sin? If not, who needs salvation or a savior? And what then is the cross all about?
Soul Food | Good Samaritan Room
The Cry of the Earth
We will continue discussing selections from Spiritual Ecology: The Cry of the Earth, led by the Rev. Joe Hajdu, Michele Bossers, and David Carol.
