Led by the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan, our hour-long Taizé service includes sung prayers; simple, beautiful music; a time of silence; spoken and silent prayers; and an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. If you’re unable to participate in person, join our live stream on your computer or mobile device.

The Four Freedoms: Freedom from Fear Part 4
Professor Stone’s recent conversations with Fayette County residents revealed that some people fear nuclear war—particularly with North Korea. Terrorism also spreads fear. Is that overdrawn? The recent Nobel Peace Prize to ICAN for work on nuclear disarmament raises that issue again. Where is our PC(USA) on these issues?
Journey With Scripture | Second Floor Library
Liminal: Occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold. We live a liminal existence (whether acknowledged or not)—our world is passing away. November’s scripture readings illuminate the courage and work required to recognize and receive the grace of God’s emerging reign. Come join us on the journey, reading and reflecting on crossing new thresholds.
This week, our readings are: Joshua 24:1–3,14–25; Psalm 78:1–7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; and Matthew 25:1–13.
Seekers | Chapel
500th Anniversary of the Reformation: John Knox and the Scottish Reformation
Influenced by Martin Luther, the theory and practice of Calvin’s search for authentic Christianity heavily influenced the Reformation in Scotland—creating the beginnings of Presbyterianism. We will hear about this from Dr. Gilmore.
Soul Food | Third Floor Music Room
Join us for a concluding discussion of Richard Rohr’s Everything Belongs, chapter four, led by the Rev. Joe Hajdu, Liz Gonda, and Michele Bossers.
