Bread for the World Offering of Letters

The Neighbors Committee will sponsor the Fellowship Time to lift up its ministry teams and provide an opportunity to participate in the 2015 Bread for the World Offering of Letters. This year’s Offering of Letters to Congress focuses on the need for the re-authorization of the Childhood Nutrition Act. This act provides the funding for vital feeding programs (school breakfast and lunch programs, summer feeding programs, and WIC) for children who face hunger on a daily basis. Without the re-authorization, these programs will end on September 30, 2015.
Please take a few minutes of your time to stop by the McKelvy Room after the 10 am worship service on June 7 and write a brief letter to Congress asking them to reauthorize this program. Additional information and materials will be provided. Then browse the ministry team tables to learn more about the important work of the Neighbor’s Mission Committee.
