Does Science Threaten Belief?
January 26, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Join us as we explore a “Test of Faith” with ELPC member, Kevin Seybold, Ph.D.
We will examine the interaction between science and theology using the video series, “Test of Faith” as a starting point. We will explore our faith in relationship to many scientific disciplines including: cosmology; biology; neuroscience; and transhumanism/posthumanism.
The “Test of Faith” material comes from the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, an academic research enterprise based at St. Edmund’s College in Cambridge, England.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Reservations are not required, but if you plan to come, please contact the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan at 412.441.3800 x141 or MaryLynn@coh.net so that we can plan to have enough food.
