Hope Academy at “The Bard in Bloom” for PBT’s Open Air Series
May 22, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
FreeHope Academy student, Chloe Baker, will perform her first-place winning monologue (The Jailer’s Daughter from “The Two Noble Kinsmen”) during Pittsburgh Public Theater’s The Bard in Bloom on Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 pm.
Winners and finalists of Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Annual Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest will give life to the Bard’s most beautiful poetry and iconic characters on the outdoor stage on Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park. The event will be hosted by former Hope Academy teaching artist and Shakespeare coach, Parag S. Gohel, who is Pittsburgh Public Theater’s newly named Director of Education and Engagement.
Bring your own chairs or blankets or make a donation to reserve a “pod” of chairs for your family.
All donations will benefit The Public’s 2021 Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest partner, Empty Space Project, and Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Education & Engagement Programs. Please note: masks are required on site.
