PW Winter Retreat

How do we live compassionately in a time of violence and despair? What can we do with our own disappointments and anger over an unjust world? Prophetic voices can help us live faithfully today.
Presbyterian Women invites you to our Winter Retreat, Responding Compassionately to a Hurting World, Friday–Saturday, March 6–7, at Crestfied Camp and Conference Center in Slippery Rock. Rev. Sarah Robbins will lead us in a deep dive into the wisdom of prophets whose anger and lament was transformed into compassion as a mature response to evil. Through prayer, discussion, exercises and guided reflection, we will practice ways to respond faithfully to an unjust world. Richard Rohr’s new book, The Tears of Things, provides guidance and a basis for our conversation.
Our overnight retreat will begin with dinner on Friday, 6 pm, and conclude mid-afternoon on Saturday. We will make a joyful noise with singing and worship. We will renew ourselves through play and rest.
Registration is full at this time.
