The Impact of Community Gardens and Urban Farms

Join us after worship on Sunday, April 25, for a powerful presentation on how Pittsburgh Community Gardens and Urban Farms are enhancing public health, enriching the lives of children and youth, promoting food equity and environmental justice, rehabilitating vacant lots, replenishing urban soils, strengthening family and community relationships, and contributing to the health of the earth.
Our discussion will be led by:
- Raqueeb Bey, founder and executive director of Black Urban Gardeners and Farmers of Pittsburgh Co-op
- AJ Monsma, community engagement officer at Garfield Community Farm
- Robert Grey, farm education and outreach coordinator at Grow Pittsburgh
