YAMs | Exploring Our Ecological Identity

“Developing a profound sense of oneself in relationship to natural and social ecosystems is necessary grounding for the difficult work of environmental advocacy.”

Through hands-on activities, we will discuss and learn how to construct our ecological identity: using the direct experience of nature as a framework for our personal decisions, professional choices, political action, and spiritual inquiry. We will be guided by Mitchel Thomashow’s book, Ecological Identity: Becoming a Reflective Environmentalist. Reading is not required to participate.
