Hope Academy provides rooms for our teaching artists and their current students who would like to continue taking lessons over the summer, beginning June 3, 2019.
Because administrative staff may or may not be in the building when lessons are taking place, everyone must agree to a higher level of personal responsibility. This is for the safety of your child.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
• Teachers will select day/s of the week, time slots and a room for the entire summer – but will probably not teach every week. They will communicate their availability to families and schedule lessons with them directly.
• Teachers and families must communicate directly with each other about schedules, cancellations, delays, etc. Please do not call, text or email Hope Academy staff or the front desk to leave messages for teachers or students.
• Parents/guardians must escort their children to the lesson room and remain there, or in the hall, for the duration of the lesson and then escort them out of the building. Students are not permitted to ever come and go on their own. Please do not drop your child off at the front door and have them walk to their lesson on their own.
• Teaching artists should be paid directly ($20 per half hour) at the time of the lesson.
• If a family cancels a scheduled lesson, for any reason, they are required to pay the teaching artist for the missed lesson.
FAMILIES MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE FORM ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THEY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THESE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
Only families who have completed the online summer lesson release form will be permitted to take summer lessons at Hope Academy.
