Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Resident Conductor, Lawrence Loh, will conduct a Community Engagement Concert tomorrow, Friday, Oct 15 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for college students and senior citizens; free for children and youth 18 and under. It will be a great concert featuring music by Beethoven, Rossini, Tchaikovsky and Mozart in East Liberty Presbyterian Church’s beautiful sanctuary.
A FREE pre-concert student recital will take place from 6:00-6:45 pm, featuring students from Dilworth Elementary’s World Drummers, CAPA’s Jazz Combo and Hope Academy’s East Liberty Community Engagement Orchestra (EL CEO) and HAT Co Singers and Rock Band; then a post-concert celebration featuring Obama’s Steel Drummers and a bake sale from 8:30-9:00
BAKE SALE DONATIONS WANTED! If you would like to help support music education programs for students in the East Liberty community (at Dilworth, Obama 6-12, CAPA Middle School and Hope Academy of Music and the Arts) please consider donating baked goods for the bake sale following the PSO concert. Your donations can be dropped off at the Highland Avenue hospitality desk on Friday, October 15 all day up until 6 pm.
