Every year, we have the opportunity to support various missions of the national church and local ministries by participating in the PC(USA) denomination-wide offerings.
On Sunday, June 9, we will receive the Pentecost Offering, which helps to shape public education through the Educate a Child, Transform the World national initiative and to support the work of local congregations and organizations that provide summer enrichment programs for children.
The Pentecost Offering makes a difference in—and for—the life of the whole church and for congregations like ours, as well as for children and youth near and far.
How is my gift used?
A gift to the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations wanting to make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community. The remaining 60% is used to support ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency.
