Do you love and enjoy music and the arts? Have you attended any of ELPC’s Cathedral Concerts? Our iSERVE Ministry is seeking two or more individuals to serve as Captains for our Cathedral Concerts series.
Captains will lead the other concert volunteers in their tasks during the events here at ELPC. Below is a general outline for how these Captains will lead. If you are interested in this role or know someone who would be, please get in touch with Jim DiGiorgio at JimD@coh.net. Thank You!
Captains will be responsible for:
- Recruiting volunteers and/or emailing Jim DiGiorgio to share a “request for volunteers” for upcoming concert events
- Responding to volunteer requests
- Coordinating and assigning roles to volunteers, and informing them of when to arrive
- Volunteers roles include: greeters who hand out programs and occasionally collecting free-will offerings
- Attending concerts (or asking a volunteer to take the lead at a concert)
Captains will lead before, during, and after concerts by:
- Before | Coming earlier than the other volunteers to put programs by doors (return extras when concert is finished)
- Before | Gathering collection plates from the pastors’ robbing room, putting them in place, and then returning them after collection
- During | Checking in with volunteers on any needs, and communicating any needs with Dr. Ed or Jim
- During | Organizing free-will offerings and asking security to place it in the church’s safe
- After | Cleaning up information tables
