Support the 2022 Christmas Giving Tree
The holidays are almost here again! As in the past, the Deacons are organizing the Christmas Giving Tree to benefit children and families from our community through ELPC Mission, Christian Education, and Hope Academy Ministries; Casa San José; and the East End Family Support Center. Click the button below to support this year’s Giving Tree.
You may sign up to purchase gifts for children, as well as make a financial donation to purchase gift cards for families (we are not having members purchase gift cards directly this year). You can donate by sending in a check made out to “ELPC Giving Tree Gift Cards” or contributing online at ELPC.church (note “ELPC Giving Tree Gift Cards”). The suggested contribution is $25, though any amount is greatly appreciated. For anyone who would like assistance with the sign up, the Deacons will be available before and after services on Sundays, November 20 and 27, and December 4, and Wednesday, December 7, at Taizé worship.
Please send, submit, or drop off gifts or donations by Sunday, December 11. If you are not computer savvy and would like to purchase a Giving Tree gift, please contact Dave Cowan at davidacowan@gmail.com or Pastor Patrice at PatriceFS@coh.net or 412.441.3800 x230.

Make a Difference by Supporting the PW Thank Offering
Since 1888, Presbyterian Women have given a “special offering to the Lord” as a tangible expression of gratitude for their many blessings. Today, faithful givers are still responding to this call through the PW Thank Offering to support innovative mission projects.
Last year’s Thank Offering is funding 10 projects with grants of $5,000–$50,000. Examples include:
- Helping formerly incarcerated women forge new and better lives in North Carolina;
- Addressing severe malnutrition among poor families in Haiti;
- Providing transformative retreats for low income cancer patients in Georgia; and
- Supporting adults with disabilities in Alabama, Philadelphia, Texas, and Lebanon.
