Open Hand Ministries (OHM), one of ELPC’s mission organizations, reports that 49 runners are registered to RUN for a REASON and support OHM during the Pittsburgh Marathon, May 6–7. Eleven are from ELPC. Those with fleet feet are exercising, stretching, and practice-running so they are ready for Marathon Day. They have done their part. Now we are inviting you, members and friends, to support them as they raise needed funds for OHM.
One REASON they run is to repair historical gaps in home ownership between Black and white families in Pittsburgh. One REASON is because OHM-rehabbed homes are made of quality materials and workmanship, energy-efficient and beautiful. One REASON is because OHM builds a nurturing community and creates a successful path to financial independence. Just ask any of these runners what their REASON is—and support a couple of your favorites! If they are offline, you can contact them or support OHM directly.
