On Sunday, August 27, the ELPC Mission Board Committees hosted a Letters to Legislators event during which more than 40 attendees had the opportunity to write to local, state, and national elected representatives advocating for action on social justice issues—including banned books, driving privileges for immigrants, environmental protections, fair housing and nondiscrimination policies for the LGBTQIA community, gun violence, prisoners’ rights, and more.
If you were able to attend, thank you for taking the time to make a difference. If you were unable to make the event, it’s not too late to take action. Click the button below to get tips for contacting your elected representatives, as well as sample letters.
