Open Hand Ministries (OHM), one of ELPC’s mission organizations, reports that 63 runners are registered to RUN for a REASON and support OHM during the Pittsburgh Marathon May 3–4. Sixteen (25%) are from ELPC!
One REASON they run is to repair historical gaps in home ownership between Black and white families in Pittsburgh. One REASON is because OHM-rehabbed homes are made of quality materials and workmanship, energy-efficient, and beautiful. One REASON is because OHM builds a nurturing community and creates a successful path to financial independence. And a very exciting REASON this year is because 4 homes will be ready for purchase as Affordable Homes this summer! Just ask any of these runners what their REASON is—and support a couple of your favorites!
