ELPC is pleased to welcome Kathryn Ophardt to our ministry team this fall. She is a student at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (PTS) and will be completing her field education internship with us throughout the year.
Kathryn is in her second year of studies at PTS. She spent the summer serving as a chaplain at Casa Refugiados, a refugee resettlement organization in Mexico City, where she had served two years prior. Kathryn continues to live in Mexico City, but hopes to return to Pittsburgh in the next couple of months. Loving all things creative, Kathryn fills her time with music, creative writing, and crafts. Believing that God accompanies us each day, she is eager to learn how to accompany the ELPC community.
Kathryn is looking forward to learn, live, and serve alongside us. And we are looking forward to incorporating her gifts and insights into our shared ministry!
